Literary Prize: Assam Tea (“Royalty,” No Less)

Steve Graubart, blogger and storyteller extraordinaire, will at last receive his prize for coming out tops in AngloFiles’s first-ever Storytelling Contest. AngloFiles encountered surprising difficulties in fulfilling Mr. Graubart’s prize request of Assam tea. This was partly due to the lamentable closure, for economic reasons, of our local British Trading Company. True, they sold mostly silly tchotchkes, like greeting cards and candles, that had very little to do with Britain. But they also carried tea (per photo at right).
Enter the in-laws — Anglophiles and shoppers nonpareil – to save the day. The tea above, now en route by mail to Mr. Graubart? They found it at … Marshall’s!
